About Us
Our farm has been in business for 45 years. It is owned and operated by Tom & Matt Mood, fourth generation farmers. Our father, the late C. Wilmer Mood, established the farm in 1962. We are members of Farm Bureau and The Better Business Bureau.
Field crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat, rye and oats are raised. Hay and straw are available for sale at the barn or local deliveries.
We are also known for the delicious sweet corn, tomatoes and cantaloupes we raise along with many other seasonal vegetables. Fresh produce can be purchased wholesale and retail.
We have about 100 head of Simmental beef cattle. Beef can be purchased by the quarter or half for your freezer at a reasonable price. We also have available select cuts of beef by the pound vaccum sealed packages. Whole natural cage free chickens are fresh frozen and vaccum sealed. Prices and cuts are posted on "Our Beef & Chicken" page. No additives such as antibiotics, chemicals, or hormones are injected into the animals or used in the feed.
While Tom and Matt are busy with the physical side of the farm, Rachel, Matt's wife raises the fifth generation farmers. Rachel is also the farm stand manager and parts runner. Mom, (Donna) keeps the books and does basic secretarial duties. She likes to help with the grandkids whenever she can.
